It’s been a busy summer!

September 18, 2014

Wow what a summer it has been at The Little Touches. A summer packed full of wedding cakes, invitations and on the day stationery. It has been a truly amazing experience being a small part of so many Bride and Grooms special day. It is always a real privilege to work on so many different things and below is a selection of photos of just some of the items I have created over the past few months.

It has been so busy I have got a bit behind in uploading all the new photos but I am currently sorting through them all and adding them to the website galleries. These include tiered wedding cakes, cupcakes towers, table plans, table names, mini tote bags, fingerprint trees and loads more. Please keep checking back to see all the work I have created and I really hope you like them all as much as I do…

There have been so many highlights from this summer and looking back through all the photos of both the cakes and stationery, I’ve got so many favourites. I have loved every wedding I have worked on, and each piece I have created has been special to me. It takes time working with all the couples to get everything exactly how they would like it and it is such a great feeling when everything is ready and I get to show them all the finished products. There has been such a variety of different items from the colours, textures and themes. There have been vintage roses, birdcages, lace, ruffles, bows, and even dragons.

It has been amazing watching how the Etsy store has grown over the past few months and it still makes me smile every time I stand in the queue at the Post Office ready to send our designs throughout the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and other countries. I love knowing I can share what I do with people all over the world, and my designs have been sent to places I can only dream of visiting.

Going forward… what’s next for The Little Touches

When The Little Touches was first launched 2 years ago, I could only have dreamed about all the stationery and cakes I have been asked to create. It is truly amazing and I love every day. Going forward I want every product that is created to still remain something I am proud of, something that people love and that your guests can talk about in a positive way. The company is growing and going into this new season of wedding shows is exciting, but I have had to make a few hard decisions.

This summer has been amazing, busy and hard work. A huge amount of time goes into making both the wedding cakes and stationery items, and it has made me think a lot about the future as the workload continues to grow. Going forward I am worried that I don’t have the time needed to dedicate to each cake. Because of this I have decided to take a break from making wedding cakes for a while in order to focus on making The Little Touches stationery the best it can possibly be.

This certainly hasn’t been an easy decision for me to make and it means that unfortunately I won’t be taking on any new orders for cakes. There will still be a few photos going up as I have some amazing cakes booked in over the coming months. Even though I will miss making the cakes I am so excited about the future and my plans to build the company further, and introduce lots of new products and ideas. I can’t wait to showcase all of our new and existing stationery at the up and coming wedding shows and I hope you will all be excited too.

I want to thank all the Brides and Grooms that have chosen The Little Touches to be part of their weddings over the last 2 years and also thank everyone for your lovely feedback and continued support.
