With summer over and autumn setting in, its time for the wedding show season to begin… A few weeks ago we exhibited at the Kent Wedding Show at the Detling showground. This is always a massive date in our calendar, as it allows us to meet so many new Bride and Grooms all in the space of a few hours. The show is run by the Wedding Experience and twice a year we set up along side 200 other exhibitors. I wanted to share some of the photos from our stand where we had an array of stationery that we have created, on show for everyone to see. So if you have not already seen the photos on our instagram I have put together some of my favourites.
From fairy tale through to vintage, chalkboard, watercolour and classic themes, I loved how all the stationery looked together with different colours and styles. I think one of my favourite pieces of stationery was the new chalkboard welcome sign, which was finished off with a corner of subtle pink and cream flowers. Now, not being a florist and having no knowledge of putting flowers together I think this was probably one of the hardest things I had to tackle (and the flowers weren’t even real). Once in place I loved how they looked against the chalkboard, and I think this would look so pretty as your guests arrive to your venue. One of my other favourites was the fairy tale table plan and matching stationery which has continued to be popular since I first created it. I think a subtle hint of fairy tale is so popular at the moment and really creates a romantic feel throughout the stationery.
It was also great to see how popular our 2 fold pocket invitations and also the 3 fold with the perforated rsvp cards were amongst the couples, and it was lovely to hear there positive feedback as they looked through what we had on display. It is always such a crazy day, but I am really enjoying sitting down with couples following the show to talk about what they are looking for, in more detail.
I want to thank everyone for coming over and having a look at what we had on offer throughout the day. It was so nice to meet so many couples and talk about all their ideas and details they have planned for their special day.
