I wanted to share with you some recent invitations that I had the pleasure of making for Claire and Warren, for their wedding in September. I have to admit I really love the design of these and how they looked once printed out. When I sat down with Claire to discuss what she wanted she really liked the fold out pocket invitations in the Westenhanger Collection, but wanted to incorporate the gypsophila flowers they are having at their wedding.
After discussing the amount of information Claire wanted to include in their invitation we decided that the best size would be a 2 faced, double sided invitation with the addition of a pocket to hold the RSVP postcard. On the face of the invitation it had the name of the guests who were being invited. Once the invitation was open there was the main invite, and a poem which detailed their wedding list. On the back I created a custom map which showed the guests exactly where they needed to go and the different car parks available on the day. Inside the side pocket was an RSVP postcard which just needed a stamp in order to be posted back to Claire and Warren. I love using RSVP postcards as they are easy for the guests to complete and post back to you without having to worry about finding an envelope in the exact size.
Both the main invitation and the envelope had the same flowery image to depict the gypsophila. This looked great printed in grey on the pearlised white card as it gave a silvery effect and really complimented the black and white design. We also created a simplified version of this invitation for the evening guests which can be seen in our wedding invitations gallery. I was so happy that Claire and Warren liked their invitations and hope they have a fantastic wedding day.
